(Kyi Aye (13th December 1929 – 2016)) (A photo of Kyi Aye (left), and the sketch of her (right), the artist – unknown) A very rare woman poet in Burma, Kyi Aye, an old friend of my grandparents, once lived together at Aye-Yeik-Tha in the year around 1950. She was at that time, a Rangoon University student attending a bachelor of arts. She later studied at University of Medicine, and became a doctor. My grandma and she were closed friends. Grandma admired her because of her strong ambition in the education, and her beautiful literary works and her own successful household life with 8 children (including a pair of twins.). I seem to be always writing about myself, my dear readers? I hope someone who may read what I write will understand that these adventures contain a great deal about me. I would have you to know that since I was a little girl indeed, I seldom dared to open my heart to anybody else except to my readers. 2020 Silent Burmese Thingyan Festival

We welcome our Burmese New Year beginning with three days or 4 days of water festival begins on 13th April and will end on 15th or 16th of April. This year, 2020 Thingyan festival was now under the order of ‘stay-at-home’ from an authority by ordering residents to stay home except for family health care or going to the market to control Covid-19. People were not allowed to have nice clean fun with dear friends sprinkling water on one another in the Thingyan or Watering Festival. However there is no welcoming water festival for Myanmar New Year, we all have a chance to welcome Tha-Gyar-Min, king of the celestial. Their Background and Their Families (My grandparents in 1954) My Grandpa – (U) Khin Maung Latt (My grandpa in 1936.) My grandfather (U) Khin Maung Latt was born in 1915, 26 th August at Monywa, Upper Burma. U Nyunt, a government officer of Bombay Burma (Teak) Company, was his father, , and Daw Khin Thwet was his mother. My grandpa had three brothers and three sisters, and he was number 6 th . My grandpa was graduated 9 th standard (middle school) from Monywa National School (1920-30), and High School from Monywa (Buddhist School) in 1931-32, first year in Mandalay University, and then moved to Rangoon University in 1933-34. A Day at the Myanmar Cartoon ‘ s 100 th Anniversary (MCC hall held 100th Anniversary of Myanmar Cartoon.) The first cartoon in Burma appeared as celebrating Christmas at the supplementary issue of the Rangoon Time Newspaper in English in 1912. The cartoonist signed as ‘Monkey’ at below. In 1915, the famous Burmese cartoonist, later became father of Burmese cartoons, U Bagalay drew in Yangon (Rangoon) Time Newspaper in English. We recalled this memory and marked the Christmas season of December of this year 2015 as 100 th Anniversary of Burmese cartoons. The Adventure of my Practising Sunlun WAy of Vipapssana Meditation Part (4)

Meditation is Meditation! We tried to go to the Sunlun monastery and do practising Sunlun way of Vipassana meditation in the every morning session. Apart from some busy days, we do not miss to go. Sit in the place and shut tight our mouth and eyes, and breathing in and breathing out for fifty minutes, and another fifty minutes we stopped with inhaling breathe and kept mindful on the sensation on the whole body. For all total 100 minutes we have to sit still! In the month of July 2019, I fell ill. I was told that I was affected by the flu virus from the mosquitos. The fever arose at night and it was gone in the morning. After recovery, I was still feeling weak. I could not go to the monastery and do meditation on that day. Because of that illness, the flu-pain remained in my body and my bones for 3 weeks. That pain added to the pain I used to suffer in the meditation.
