The Sayadaw’s body was rested at the place under the pagoda statuette in the Sunlun Monastery’s campus


On 8th October of 2012, the third day after the Sayadaw passed away, I was at the Sunlun Monastery to pay respect to Sayadaw for the last farewell. My parents arrived in the very afternoon. I was there at 3:30PM and I saw many people already arrived to attend Sayadaw’s last farewell ceremony. I sat before the Sayadaw’s body and paid respect Him lastly. The ceremony started on 4:30PM. The Venerable Monk; Sayadaw U Wara attended as a head of the ceremony.










(Sayadaw U Wara was like a son to our Sayadaw U Vineya, He resided with U Vinaya since He became a monk. Since Sayadaw U Vineya was unwell in march of 2010, Sayadaw U Wara became active as a meditation master on behalf of the Sayadaw U Vineya.
